Prevent items from going onto shopping list from meal plan
When creating a shopping list from a meal plan, it will pull all the ingredients from the recipes on that meal plan and add them to the shopping list. However, there are common items like salt, olive oil, etc. that you don't need to buy each time you go to the grocery. Thankfully, you can turn off this default behavior.
While editing a shopping list, hit the edit button on the item you want to change. Then use the Add from meal plan to shopping list toggle to enable or disable automatically adding an item to the created shopping list.

Items and item categories are remembered
Items are remembered after the first time they're added to a list. By default, a new item's default category is Uncategorized. After adding the item to your list, you can edit it to change things like quantity and category. Changing the category changes the default category for that item. Next time you add that item to your list, it will autocomplete both the name and category for you.
Share Shopping Lists
Shopping Lists can be shared between users.
- To share a list, go to your profile. Press Generate new share code to generate a new code.
- Copy the code and send it to the person you want to share your lists with.
-
That person can request access to your shopping lists in their profile.
- After they've requested access, you can approve them by going to your profile, clicking the share code you sent them to expand its menu, and clicking the checkbox to approve.
